Things Worth Knowing
You are welcome to know the TTCT
The True Teaching of Christ Temple is an inspired, independent evangelical international church established by a Ghanaian Dutch citizen in April 1975. The church is predominantly Africans (as well as English, Dutch, Surinamers, and the Antilillean whose main scriptural aim is to reach and touch every human of goodwill irrespective of race and color hence the name International. In the beginning, it got connected and acquainted with European Churches in Holland and abroad, including the USA, Switzerland, Norway, Germany, and later Belgium and Ghana. A branch in the UK is currently based at Seymour Leisure Center, Seymour Place, London SW1 H5TJ. The practical goals of the TTCT are:
-
To steer the youth off the streets and to help prevent bad habits. And in this respect, the church has an intensive Parental Course for teenage mothers, guardians, and caretakers as well as programs to encourage the youth to aim high academically and morally. One can visit one of the programs which take place mainly on Saturdays and Sundays in Amsterdam. Our UK program is currently online and will resume in person soon. The USA program continues in Seattle.
-
To help those (without jobs) break into the labour market. In this respect we have delegated a team to get a job has been established, to help all interested people especially believers who come to church.
-
The church encourages voluntary works and participates in them as a group when called upon to do so, and when national emergency demands.
-
To alleviate the burden of working mothers the church once established a baby care center but this was dismantled by the authorities to make way for new buildings, however, nursing mothers can be taken to the Sunday school until the end of the church service.
-
The church teaches cultural integration for all members and as such there are two languages spoken, English and Dutch. Interpretations are done in an African language as well. It has also become an information center for all members to know what is going on in their adopted countries on matters affecting us all. (i.e. social, political, law-abiding, and matters of interest).
-
Sunday church service is the core part of our program. Other Christian events include Christmas, our annual Convention (including fasting) and Easter, etc also form part of our program.
NB: Meanwhile due to lack of space, the creche is closed down and at the same time due to monetary constraints and official implications the church has no own property as before and is praying to secure one in the future and as such, any help from anywhere is welcome.
God Bless -
Daniel
